Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Philippe Mayeur took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Jules Bienaime left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mirail fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mirail's goalkeeper Johan Menu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 9 played minutes, Mirail's Ethan Collard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erwan Bienfait came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mirail reached it. Erwan Bienfait showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jules Bienaime in the 14th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Daniel Maziere recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johan Menu. Daniel Maziere showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Philippe Mayeur in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johan Menu saved Mirail from getting behind. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mirail! Johan Menu came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Cenon's Ronan Ferré. But to his dismay, Ronan Ferré quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Johan Menu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cenon's Daniel Maziere. But to his dismay, Daniel Maziere quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 34th match minute, Cenon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Maziere to maneuver through the defense. Dorian Herment sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 minutes, Pierre-Louis Rouard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cenon and the Mirail players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pierre-Louis Rouard kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Jules Bienaime ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erwan Bienfait was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jules Bienaime made a kick off. The supporters of Mirail booed when Cenon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philippe Mayeur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grégoire Huard's late challenge caught a Mirail's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grégoire Huard helped the player get up and apologised. Philippe Mayeur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysse Labarriere hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Cenon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronan Ferré in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mirail's zone, Daniel Maziere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johan Menu came out of the goal and Daniel Maziere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Philippe Mayeur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Menu having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Mirail:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cenon:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Philippe Mayeur in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johan Menu saved Mirail from getting behind. Jules Bienaime's late challenge caught a Cenon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jules Bienaime helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mirail's Jules Bienaime got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 99th minute Daniel Maziere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Menu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mirail players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cenon.
