Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Caro's Ethan Rancon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joffrey Petot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ethan Rancon, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 8th minute, Caro's Carlos Fuhrmann seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carlos Fuhrmann the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Caro protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carlos Fuhrmann had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Creteil. Mehdi Pourchet stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Philibert Lasne. 1-0. If Mehdi Lajoie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philibert Lasne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Giacometti in the 14th minute of the match. Mehdi Lajoie's late challenge caught a Caro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehdi Lajoie helped the player get up and apologised. When Luka Brochot came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Caro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luka Brochot couldn't finish the play. If Clement Fercoq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Ledieu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Joffrey Petot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Sam Giacometti collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. After 33 minutes, Leo Morvant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caro and the Creteil players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes Caro got a freekick which was hit by Leo Morvant. In the 35th minute, Mehdi Pourchet sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caro's Philibert Lasne didn't even have to move. Clement Fercoq struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Philibert Lasne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Creteil. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Clement Fercoq managed to get in a good position for a shot. Creteil's supporters rose to their feet, but Clement Fercoq was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philibert Lasne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When Reda Lequien fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Creteil's protests and gave Reda Lequien a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, one of Creteil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Creteil. The goalkeeper, Joffrey Petot, was totally fooled by Caro's Moise Labesse, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luka Brochot got free with Joffrey Petot in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 60 played minutes Caro got a freekick which was hit by Moise Labesse. If Clement Fercoq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Caro getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jimmy Revert hit a great ball. Creteil's Clement Fercoq got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 73 in the game by Luka Brochot from a close distance when the talented Joffrey Petot managed to make a qualified save. Creteil's players were relieved. Clement Fercoq sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clement Fercoq fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philibert Lasne having to interfere. Clement Fercoq recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clement Fercoq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Philibert Lasne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
