Ronchin's Emmanuel Gasparini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Ayrault in the 4th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antony Bec got free with Eugene Sacre in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emmanuel Gasparini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Ayrault, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Fabrice Turquin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antony Bec got free with Eugene Sacre in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ewan Hoff hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Antony Bec in the 26th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Eugene Sacre kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. With his leg Eugene Sacre managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Ronchin's Antony Bec fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Recouvrance's Eugene Sacre got control of the ball when Antony Bec tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 37 minutes, Didier Fromentin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ronchin and the Recouvrance players grew even worse after the yellow card. Didier Fromentin kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Dorian Ayrault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabrice Turquin was the one to do the kick off. If Fabrice Turquin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugene Sacre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrice Turquin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronchin's Fabrice Turquin got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olivier Faugeron's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Emmanuel Gasparini skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The attack was good, but when Olivier Faugeron in the 87th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Emmanuel Gasparini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Ayrault in the 91st minute of play. Eugene Sacre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrice Turquin, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ronchin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Recouvrance had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
