Emmanuel Gasparini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustave Foulonneau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmanuel Gasparini having to interfere. The Ronchin players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Messein were winning 1-2.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling René Duval in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emmanuel Gasparini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabrice Turquin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ghislain Deal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ronchin's Karim Germany got a free kick in the 59th minute. René Duval who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Emmanuel Gasparini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jolan Simond struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Ghislain Deal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ronchin. Terry Saurel kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Gustave Foulonneau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karim Germany sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fabrice Turquin came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Ronchin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrice Turquin couldn't finish the play. Jolan Simond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ghislain Deal having to interfere. When Ronchin's Jolan Simond, in the 91st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ronchin. Ronchin's Emmanuel Gasparini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustave Foulonneau in the 96th minute of play. The Ronchin supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Messein's performance. The match ended with a win for Messein.
