The referee showed Valentin Baudel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Rivesaltes got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Baudel. Hamid Frémiot made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Paul-Henri Sénac sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute, Paul-Henri Sénac ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamid Frémiot was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Hector Lorenzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Chanel, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Benoît Pille was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. Antoine Toumi walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul-Henri Sénac got free with Hamid Frémiot in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paul-Henri Sénacs short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Hamid Frémiot to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rivesaltes's Paul-Henri Sénac got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Talant was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmid Bourmaud to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Talant's Hamid Frémiot got control of the ball when Paul-Henri Sénac tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Kevin Chanel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Rivesaltes's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Chanel came free, but Hector Lorenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Chanel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Lorenzi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Olivier Hours in the 41st minute of play forced Rivesaltes's goalkeeper Hector Lorenzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paul-Henri Sénac to make the kick off. Hamid Frémiot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul-Henri Sénac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmid Bourmaud's late challenge caught a Rivesaltes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmid Bourmaud helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Talant got a freekick which was hit by Ahmid Bourmaud. Hakim Grandpierre kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Rivesaltes's Hector Lorenzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Rivesaltes from getting a goal against them. Hamid Frémiot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul-Henri Sénac in the 84th minute of the match. If Paul-Henri Sénac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Rivesaltes booed when Talant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Redouane Valli didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rivesaltes had won after a very even match.
