Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pierre-Henri Brau started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Montreuil booed when Vitrolles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alix Dassonville didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dilan Lahaye during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eddy Houssin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benoit Appert having to interfere. Vitrolles's Benoit Appert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terry Pradel in the 15th minute of play. Valerien Cathelain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hocine Le Forestier having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vitrolles's zone, Eddy Houssin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benoit Appert came out of the goal and Eddy Houssin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitrolles's Benoit Appert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Houssin in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Terry Pradel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montreuil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terry Pradel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, one of Montreuil:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Vitrolles. Tim Rouet stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hocine Le Forestier. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Pierre-Henri Brau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hocine Le Forestier having to make a save. In the 58th minute, Terry Pradel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Tim Rouet's late challenge caught a Montreuil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Rouet helped the player get up and apologised. Tim Rouet hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Benoit Appert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eddy Houssin's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Eddy Houssin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benoit Appert having to interfere. Terry Pradel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Amri kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Hocine Le Forestier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valerien Cathelain in the 82nd minute of play. Eddy Houssin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hocine Le Forestier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valerien Cathelain went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
