The referee ignored Tavernolles's protests and gave Antonin Bouard a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tavernolles's Antonin Bouard got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 23 played minutes Tavernolles got a freekick which was hit by Bart Fourcade. Bryan Culot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timothe Beaujouan's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Timothe Beaujouan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryan Culot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tavernolles's Bryan Culot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timothe Beaujouan in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Lingostière's Timothe Beaujouan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bryan Culot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Harry Hebrard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Culot having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnold Brandon was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Tavernolles's Sam Fercoq sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilbert Thuillier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sam Fercoq fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Thuillier having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tavernolles's Honoré Causse got a free kick in the 61st minute. Bryan Culot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothe Beaujouan in the 63rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Timothe Beaujouan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lingostière's supporters rose to their feet, but Timothe Beaujouan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryan Culot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 66 minutes, Harry Hebrard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lingostière's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Hebrard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sam Fercoq took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilbert Thuillier. Gilbert Thuillier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Timothe Beaujouan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnold Brandon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gilbert Thuillier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sam Fercoq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tavernolles getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Paul-Henri Falempin hit a great ball. Tavernolles's Bryan Culot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Tavernolles from getting a goal against them. Tavernolles's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
