Melvin Lafaurie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Rohart having to interfere. Honore Carel hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st match minute, Martinsart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramzi Mura to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Martinsart's zone, Alix Millon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barthélémy Cerveaux came out of the goal and Alix Millon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th match minute, Martinsart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joachim Brien to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Chantenay booed when Martinsart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timothé Peyre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregory Appere's late challenge caught a Martinsart's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregory Appere helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chantenay's Gregory Appere got a free kick in the 40th minute. Charles-Henri Gibault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alix Millon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chantenay's Charles-Henri Gibault got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melvin Lafaurie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martinsart's Barthélémy Cerveaux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles-Henri Gibault in the 53rd minute of play. Barthélémy Cerveaux was a little too slow when Charles-Henri Gibault got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-1. Barthélémy Cerveaux made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Alix Millon sent off a good shot on target. Honore Carel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barthélémy Cerveaux having to interfere. Barthélémy Cerveaux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles-Henri Gibault in the 63rd minute of the match. Melvin Lafaurie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Rohart having to interfere. After 68 minutes, Flavian Donze mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Martinsart and the Chantenay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andre Cayla lost his temper 76 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chantenay! Chantenay:s Mario Rohart showed great skill when he stopped Pierre-Emmanuel Fuster:s penalty. 78 minutes into the game, Martinsart's Pierre-Emmanuel Fuster nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mario Rohart made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Gérard Verrier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mario Rohart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chantenay's Mario Rohart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melvin Lafaurie in the 84th minute of play. When Gérard Verrier came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Martinsart fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gérard Verrier couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chantenay eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
