The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathys Kalou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Émilien Saudrais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Armand Becu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salindres's supporters rose to their feet, but Armand Becu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Émile Wiss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faudel Cecillon in the 22nd minute of play forced Houdemont's goalkeeper Émile Wiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Houdemont's goal looked a bit too open when Faudel Cecillon came free, but Émile Wiss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Salindres booed when Houdemont was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Christophe Loy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terry Nicolai fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 27th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. In the 29th match minute, Houdemont was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hocine Renoux to maneuver through the defense. Faudel Cecillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Émile Wiss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Émile Wiss was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Faudel Cecillon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Émile Wiss was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Armand Becu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Émile Wiss made a huge save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armand Becu couldn't finish the play. After 65 minutes, Lionel Fagot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Houdemont and the Salindres players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Houdemont's Lionel Fagot got a free kick in the 65th minute. Armand Becu struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Émile Wiss didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salindres. Émilien Saudrais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mathys Kalou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathys Kalou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Émilien Saudrais in the 78th minute of the match.
