Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gauthier Smadja got the match started through his kick off. Ecqueville's Gustave Lamirand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordy Berthelier in the 5th minute of play. Jordy Berthelier scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustave Lamirand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Soulet got free with Fernand Courcier in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lignan's Fernand Courcier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gauthier Smadja in the 12th minute of play. If Gauthier Smadja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jordy Berthelier came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Lignan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordy Berthelier couldn't finish the play. Gustave Lamirand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordy Berthelier in the 29th minute of play. If Antony Rouch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Gauthier Smadja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Soulet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernand Courcier made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Alex Soulet sent off a good shot on target. Alex Soulet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Lignan were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Jordy Berthelier made the kick off in the second half. Alex Soulet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernand Courcier having to make a save. Gauthier Smadja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Fernand Courcier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustave Lamirand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordy Berthelier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Lignan's zone, Alex Soulet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernand Courcier came out of the goal and Alex Soulet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eloi Francon kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Lignan's Fernand Courcier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gauthier Smadja in the 75th minute of play. Antony Rouch scored 0-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustave Lamirand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alphonse Bove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Fernand Courcier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lignan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
