In the 23rd minute of the match Noe Poirrier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurent Rouchy skillfully saved the ball. Jean-Paul Poteau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute, Alain Raffaelli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Morinais fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jean-Paul Poteau to strike the kick off in the second half. When Claude Merlot came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Truyes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Merlot couldn't finish the play. Jean-Paul Poteau scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renaud Grandidier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renaud Grandidier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Truyes's goalkeeper Renaud Grandidier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jean-Paul Poteau scored 3-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renaud Grandidier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
