Antony Bertaux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alphonse Theobald, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Camblanes's zone, Matthieu Dufaure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berenger Perard came out of the goal and Matthieu Dufaure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gaston Meynard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Matthieu Dufaure managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holtzwihr's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthieu Dufaure was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berenger Perard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alphonse Theobald made a kick off. Antony Bertaux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corentin Pissot in the 51st minute of the match. Antony Bertaux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alphonse Theobald, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Corentin Pissot got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Holtzwihr's Nelson Peyret got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Corentin Pissot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antony Bertaux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alphonse Theobald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 played minutes Holtzwihr got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Peyret. Corentin Pissot struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Antony Bertaux didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camblanes. Alphonse Theobald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Antony Bertaux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Holtzwihr's Regis Lelarge got a free kick in the 68th minute. Antony Bertaux stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alphonse Theobald's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. If Gaston Meynard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Matthieu Dufaure came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Holtzwihr fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthieu Dufaure couldn't finish the play. Berenger Perard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthieu Dufaure went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute, Corentin Pissot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antony Bertaux was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Holtzwihr's Antony Bertaux proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Holtzwihr from getting a goal against them. Berenger Perard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthieu Dufaure in the 97th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
