Lucas Mareau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugene Salvan in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Champanges's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pacome Lequin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Champanges's zone, Pacome Lequin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Delaine came out of the goal and Pacome Lequin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lionel Beuzelin during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rdth minute of the game Eugene Salvan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caen's Lucas Mareau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Eugene Salvan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Mareau was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Yannick Dulon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th match minute, Champanges was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Salabert to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Barthelemy Magne from long distance, 81 minutes into the match, got Gabriel Delaine's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lucas Mareau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Salabert, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Yannick Dulon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
