Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Hector Nowak started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Hector Nowak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Gaston Mayeur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Abbaye's zone, Charles Laude stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bob Lhote came out of the goal and Charles Laude tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bob Lhote showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacques Daveau in the 19th minute of the match. Rudy Caubet struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Philippe Lespinasse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abbaye. After some careless play in the Abbaye defense, Jacques Daveau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bob Lhote. The Abbaye fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bob Lhote should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Caubet in the 31st minute of play forced Sassenage's goalkeeper Philippe Lespinasse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Sassenage's Philippe Lespinasse got control of the ball when Tim Houdart tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacques Daveau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bob Lhote read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Abbaye's Maxime Wattier got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Ulysse Pla sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Abbaye's Bob Lhote didn't even have to move. Hector Nowak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacques Daveau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Lhote having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Hector Nowak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bob Lhote was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudy Caubet made a kick off. In the 54th minute Rudy Caubet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philippe Lespinasse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philippe Lespinasse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudy Caubet in the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Sassenage's Hector Nowak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Hector Nowak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philippe Lespinasse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Houdart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacques Daveau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bob Lhote tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jacques Daveau came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sassenage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacques Daveau couldn't finish the play. If Tim Houdart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philippe Lespinasse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudy Caubet in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Caubet in the 82nd minute of play forced Sassenage's goalkeeper Philippe Lespinasse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes, Pierre-Antoine Floch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sassenage and the Abbaye players grew even worse after the yellow card. Philippe Lespinasse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Caubet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Tim Houdart made a precise shot to the right of Philippe Lespinasse. Sassenage's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Sassenage's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
