Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jason Maziere started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Chavoire got a freekick which was hit by Gustave Cahu. 8 minutes into the match, Farid Massat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olivier Pamphile. Chavoire's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Farid Massat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Olivier Pamphile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alban Konieczny in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Rivière's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Igor Golfier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Olivier Pamphile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Farid Massat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes, Sammy Scouarnec mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rivière and the Chavoire players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chavoire's Luis Plancke couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rivière. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ghislain Dubot during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ghislain Dubot kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Alban Konieczny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olivier Pamphile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alban Konieczny in the 33rd minute of play. Alban Konieczny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Olivier Pamphile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdinand Célestin during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chavoire's Ferdinand Célestin got a free kick in the 37th minute. If Igor Golfier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Rivière's goal looked a bit too open when Jason Maziere came free, but Tanguy Grandidier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Golfier might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanguy Grandidier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Golfier ran back to his position shaking his head. Émilien Attia's late challenge caught a Chavoire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Émilien Attia helped the player get up and apologised. Émilien Attia kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Tanguy Grandidier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jason Maziere in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alban Konieczny was the one to do the kick off. Xavier Vinay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanguy Grandidier having to interfere. Olivier Pamphile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alban Konieczny in the 54th minute of the match. During the 58th minute of the match Sammy Scouarnec completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sammy Scouarnec a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Chavoire booed when Rivière was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Scouarnec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Plancke took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tanguy Grandidier. Rivière's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ferdinand Célestin was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Chavoire's Ferdinand Célestin got a free kick in the 67th minute. Farid Massat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Olivier Pamphile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Émeric Rohou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olivier Pamphile having to interfere. With a little luck, Chavoire's Olivier Pamphile got control of the ball when Farid Massat tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Farid Massat came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Rivière fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Farid Massat couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the match, Chavoire's goalkeeper Olivier Pamphile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Farid Massat. After a defensive mix-up in Chavoire's zone, Farid Massat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olivier Pamphile came out of the goal and Farid Massat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Kevin Fabbri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Farid Massat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chavoire were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rivière for a fine match.
