Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Charles Guérault got the match started through his kick off. Antoine Guglielmi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louison Mutin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Guérault recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bixente Bourdais made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Aimé Andro sent off a good shot on target. Grassette's Bixente Bourdais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Grassette from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Joey Mathy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joey Urbain hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st match minute, Marchiennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aimé Andro to maneuver through the defense. Antoine Guglielmi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yazid Ridard's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Bixente Bourdais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Guérault in the 23rd minute of the match. Louison Mutin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Antoine Guglielmi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Charles Guérault came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Marchiennes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Guérault couldn't finish the play. In the 34thth minute of the game Louison Mutin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marchiennes's Antoine Guglielmi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Louison Mutin succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Grassette's Bixente Bourdais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Grassette from getting a goal against them. Aimé Andro took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bixente Bourdais. Bixente Bourdais dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Yazid Ridard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joey Urbain during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Grassette booed when Marchiennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joey Urbain didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Louison Mutin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Yazid Ridard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grassette's supporters rose to their feet, but Yazid Ridard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoine Guglielmi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, Grassette's goal looked a bit too open when Aimé Andro came free, but Bixente Bourdais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Marchiennes's zone, Yazid Ridard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoine Guglielmi came out of the goal and Yazid Ridard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aimé Andro in the 74th minute of play forced Grassette's goalkeeper Bixente Bourdais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rachid Boillot kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Louison Mutin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antoine Guglielmi was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, Grassette's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Guérault came free, but Bixente Bourdais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Louison Mutin came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Grassette fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louison Mutin couldn't finish the play. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marchiennes! The goalkeeper, Antoine Guglielmi, was totally fooled by Grassette's Kevan Vigot, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The Marchiennes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grassette's performance. The match ended with a win for Grassette.
