In the 15th minute, Gildas Chauvat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hervé Philibert was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Montreuil's Hervé Philibert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Montreuil from getting a goal against them. Gildas Chauvat in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hervé Philibert, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Montreuil's Théodore Chartrain got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Stanislas Antigny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marc-Olivier Clausse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omer Lucet in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match Montreuil got a corner. Coubron's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pascal Fosse ran over to the corner to take the kick. Montreuil's Pascal Fosse was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marc-Olivier Clausse in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jean-Baptiste De Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hervé Philibert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Gildas Chauvat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coubron's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildas Chauvat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hervé Philibert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 47 minutes, Steven Callewaert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coubron and the Montreuil players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Coubron's Steven Callewaert got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thibault Augustin struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Hervé Philibert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coubron. Coubron's Marc-Olivier Clausse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Coubron from getting a goal against them. Hervé Philibert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gildas Chauvat in the 76th minute of play. Stanislas Antigny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc-Olivier Clausse having to interfere. Omer Lucet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Stanislas Antigny had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marc-Olivier Clausse. Coubron's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stanislas Antigny was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Stanislas Antigny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Montreuil players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Coubron.
