Jocelyn Landrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Sidney Galan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No goal. Corentin Chamard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Melvin Fays hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harold Viet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melvin Payen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Ragon's Melvin Payen threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Harold Viet, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sidney Galan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hercule Mirande in the 36th minute of the match. Ragon's Sidney Galan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jocelyn Landrin in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Harold Viet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ragon's supporters rose to their feet, but Harold Viet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melvin Payen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Melvin Payen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harold Viet, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Harold Viet made the kick off in the second half. Corentin Chamard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Galan having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Harold Viet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antony Petitdemange's late challenge caught a Ragon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antony Petitdemange helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Schiltigheim's Antony Petitdemange got a free kick in the 60th minute. Melvin Payen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firmin Roudier, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harold Viet in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melvin Payen saved Schiltigheim from getting behind. In the 66th minute, one of Ragon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ragon. Axel Prod Homme kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. If Corentin Chamard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 76 minutes, Corentin Chamard made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ragon's Sidney Galan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Ragon booed when Schiltigheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hercule Mirande didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Schiltigheim's zone, Firmin Roudier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melvin Payen came out of the goal and Firmin Roudier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Erwin Royet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melvin Payen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Firmin Roudier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erwin Royet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Ragon's goal looked a bit too open when Corentin Chamard came free, but Sidney Galan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corentin Chamard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Galan having to interfere. Schiltigheim's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
