Claira's supporters rose to their feet, but Modeste Stalin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Émeric Bannier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Modeste Stalin took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Émeric Bannier. Émeric Bannier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Modeste Stalin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Émeric Bannier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claira's Roger Brisard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pierre Orain in the 36th minute of play. If Fernand Douillard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Claira's Christopher Douaud got a free kick in the 44th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donatien Ponton during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Donatien Ponton hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Ahmed Greco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Brisard having to interfere.

53 minutes into the game, Hugo Barral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Émeric Bannier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hugo Barrals short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Émeric Bannier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Ahmed Greco came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Roncourt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmed Greco couldn't finish the play. In the 68th match minute, Claira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustave Caplain to maneuver through the defense. Ahmed Greco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claira's Roger Brisard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pierre Orain in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Jean-Pierre Orain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roncourt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Pierre Orain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jean-Pierre Orain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Roger Brisard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Claira's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Pierre Orain came free, but Roger Brisard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Brisard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Greco, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Modeste Stalin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Émeric Bannier having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Roncourt got a freekick which was hit by Brian Flipo. Hugo Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Émeric Bannier having to interfere. Christopher Douaud was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
