After a rather tough play, Gonnehem's Kévin De Barros got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Hamid Desmons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Gildas Laforest tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corentin Baldy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 10thth minute of the game Corentin Baldy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gonnehem's Gildas Laforest was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gildas Laforest showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corentin Baldy in the 16th minute of the match. Barnabé Boulier kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27thth minute of the game Corentin Baldy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gonnehem's Gildas Laforest was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gonnehem's Gildas Laforest proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Gonnehem from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Gonnehem's zone, Nathanaël Lapouge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gildas Laforest came out of the goal and Nathanaël Lapouge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Gonnehem were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Corentin Baldy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mourad Fuhrmanns short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Bruno Coquelet to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 55 minutes into the match, Mourad Fuhrmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Coquelet. Mardié's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mourad Fuhrmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Bruno Coquelet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mourad Fuhrmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Baptiste Biard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Hamid Desmons managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mardié's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamid Desmons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gildas Laforest breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antony Montagnier during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Mardié got a freekick which was hit by Antony Montagnier. Bruno Coquelet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Baptiste Biard, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute.
