Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Romain Lienhardt started the match with the kick off. Bacary Ribiere could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Donovan Roblin made a huge save. Donovan Roblin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josselin Cabon in the 4th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Vernet's goal looked a bit too open when Josselin Cabon came free, but Donovan Roblin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romain Lienhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Daryl Dasse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 minutes, Igor Mazzoni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borderu and the Vernet players grew even worse after the yellow card. Igor Mazzoni kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Borderu's Daryl Dasse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Gagnon in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Romain Lienhardt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vernet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Romain Lienhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Daryl Dasse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Josselin Cabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bacary Ribiere in the 37th minute of play forced Vernet's goalkeeper Donovan Roblin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romain Lienhardt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Borderu getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Xavier Gosset hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josselin Cabon was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Vernet's Romain Lienhardt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daryl Dasse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josselin Cabon in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donovan Roblin saved Vernet from getting behind. Daryl Dasse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pierre Gagnon in the 63rd minute. Daryl Dasse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romain Lienhardt, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. With his leg Daryl Dasse managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Vernet's Pierre Gagnon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Vernet getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Emilien Roubaud hit a great ball. In the 72ndth minute of the game Bacary Ribiere who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vernet's Donovan Roblin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute Bacary Ribiere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Roblin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josselin Cabon struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Donovan Roblin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borderu. Romain Lienhardt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daryl Dasse having to interfere. Pierre Gagnon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Daryl Dasse skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Borderu getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Maxime Sarda hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Josselin Cabon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borderu's supporters rose to their feet, but Josselin Cabon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donovan Roblin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bacary Ribiere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josselin Cabon in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donovan Roblin saved Vernet from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pierre Gagnon got free with Daryl Dasse in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 95 minutes of play Borderu's Maxime Sarda was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 96th match minute, Borderu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxime Sarda to maneuver through the defense. Pierre Gagnon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Daryl Dasse made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vernet eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
