A collision led to Malauzat getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Emilien Godard hit a great ball. After 6 minutes, Gilles Millot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vénissieux and the Malauzat players grew even worse after the yellow card. Romuald Bondon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Malauzat's Kevin Jobert got a free kick in the 16th minute. Damien Beuzelin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romuald Bondon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilien Godard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damien Beuzelin having to interfere. Arthur Cance recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Malauzat defense, Willy Assier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustave Meynier. The Malauzat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustave Meynier should have stopped the shot. Gustave Meynier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willy Assier, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Gustave Meynier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willy Assier in the 40th minute of the match. Edgard Payot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gustave Meynier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romuald Bondon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damien Beuzelin having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Payot was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Malauzat's goalkeeper Gustave Meynier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willy Assier. Damien Beuzelin didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Malauzat's Romuald Bondon shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Gustave Meynier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Payot in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Vénissieux's goal looked a bit too open when Romuald Bondon came free, but Damien Beuzelin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romuald Bondon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Romuald Bondon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damien Beuzelin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vénissieux's Damien Beuzelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Cance in the 98th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
