Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vongy's Jean-Paul Faes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vongy's Jean-Paul Faes got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Louis Amri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Paul Faes in the 10th minute of play. Renaud Wahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Louis Amri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnaud Fourcroy kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Arnaud Fourcroy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 25th minute William Gavard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislas Laidet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Béthemont's William Gavard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stanislas Laidet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jean-Paul Faes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis Amri having to interfere. A collision led to Béthemont getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. William Gavard hit a great ball. Renaud Wahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when William Gavard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Louis Amri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Blomme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Louis Amri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renaud Wahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If José Hello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Béthemont's goal looked a bit too open when Renaud Wahl came free, but Louis Amri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Renaud Wahl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vongy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean-Paul Faes in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Louis Amri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jean-Paul Faes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
