Chris Jahier struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Marouane Ribeyre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soler. In the 69th minute of the match, Tommy Franck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marouane Ribeyre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If François-Xavier Perthuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Soler would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
