Jordan Marsan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gabriel Fouilleul. Narbonne's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Harry Barrot hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The supporters of Narbonne booed when Mont was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren Coquelin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narbonne's Henri Dreyer managed to work through Mont's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Henri Dreyer dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Mont's Djimmy Garnero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mont from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Henri Dreyer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hocine Callens succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After 21 played minutes Mont got a freekick which was hit by Louison Mayeux. If Hocine Callens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Narbonne's Henri Dreyer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Djimmy Garnero. Djimmy Garnero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Karim Barthomeuf hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes, Aymerick Vitali mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Narbonne and the Mont players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Narbonne's Aymerick Vitali got a free kick in the 41st minute. Gabriel Fouilleul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Tassart, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. If Henri Dreyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Narbonne's Henri Dreyer got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jordan Marsan fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mont's protests and gave Jordan Marsan a yellow card for diving instead. Jordan Marsan hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Thibaut Lion got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Djimmy Garnero quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 66th minute Marin Tassart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Fouilleul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bastien Tranchant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marin Tassart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gabriel Fouilleul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Narbonne's zone, Marin Tassart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Fouilleul came out of the goal and Marin Tassart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bastien Tranchant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Fouilleul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Tassart in the 86th minute of play. Djimmy Garnero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri Dreyer in the 89th minute of the match. Gabriel Fouilleul made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bastien Tranchant in the 96th minute. Narbonne's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
