Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Tomblaine's zone, Hugues Picot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Rimbaud came out of the goal and Hugues Picot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th minute, Léon Becard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Rimbaud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugues Picot in the 13th minute of the match. Charly Franquet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamid Legal having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Bauche's goalkeeper Hamid Legal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucien Grelier. After 19 minutes, Luc Thouvenot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bauche and the Tomblaine players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomblaine's Jacob Boyard couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bauche. Lucien Grelier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamid Legal having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Jacob Boyard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nathan Bara was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Josselin Bosch's late challenge caught a Tomblaine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Charly Franquet came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Tomblaine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charly Franquet couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Charly Franquet made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Bauche getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Désiré Hauchard hit a great ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute Léon Becard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Rimbaud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Rimbaud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léon Becard, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Hugues Picot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léon Becard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Bauche played a much better game than Tomblaine and deserved their victory. The Tomblaine players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
