Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nantes's Joris Brandt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Nantes got a freekick which was hit by Joris Richert. 6 minutes into the match, Nantes's goal looked a bit too open when Mamadou Berlémont came free, but Brian Nauleau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nantes's Yazid Bonaventure got a free kick in the 7th minute. If Mamadou Berlémont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Aurélien Berry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Mamadou Berlémont ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brian Nauleau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 26th of the match, Joris Brandt tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Henri Fath got in the way and made a wonderful save. The supporters of Nantes booed when Montchaboud was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurélien Berry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joris Brandt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Montchaboud's goalkeeper Henri Fath had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernest Payet. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Mamadou Berlémont made the kick off in the second half. Henri Fath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yazid Bonaventure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mamadou Berlémont received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Brian Nauleau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Nauleau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurélien Berry in the 59th minute. Yazid Bonaventure's late challenge caught a Montchaboud's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yazid Bonaventure helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Montchaboud booed when Nantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yazid Bonaventure didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurélien Berry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Brian Nauleau made a huge save. Brian Nauleau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mamadou Berlémont, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Montchaboud's Aurélien Berry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brian Nauleau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Joris Brandt notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Montchaboud's Henri Fath. Henri Fath was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Aurélien Berry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montchaboud's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurélien Berry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Nauleau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurélien Berry who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Brian Nauleau when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mamadou Berlémont recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Montchaboud's Henri Fath played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joris Brandt in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Nantes's goalkeeper Brian Nauleau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurélien Berry. Mamadou Berlémont received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Brian Nauleau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Nauleau made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Aurélien Berry sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Montchaboud left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nantes.
