Lilian Odin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Danger, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. One of Ingersheim:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Varage:s goal. When Moise Rivoallan fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ingersheim's protests and gave Moise Rivoallan a yellow card for diving instead. Varage's Pierre-Loup Mattei got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 2-2 became the score in the 81st minute when Joris Bascou elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
