Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joris Bascou kicked off to start the match. Patrice Warin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 7 played minutes Durtol got a freekick which was hit by Marc-Aurèle Touchet. Joris Bascou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Rabineau having to interfere. In the 12th minute of the match Samir Decherf sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ryan Rabineau skillfully saved the ball. After 19 minutes, Pierre-Loup Mattei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varage and the Durtol players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pierre-Loup Mattei hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Varage's Lilian Odin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrice Warin in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrice Warin in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lilian Odin saved Varage from getting behind. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Patrice Warin sped through Varage's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lilian Odin. Patrice Warin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lilian Odin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Erwann Javelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lilian Odin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Patrice Warin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bastien Douillard hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrice Warin to make the kick off. Patrice Warin might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lilian Odin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrice Warin ran back to his position shaking his head. Ryan Rabineau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joris Bascou in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Durtol's Benjamin Ridel got a free kick in the 68th minute. Benjamin Ridel hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Robert Chaillot was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Varage booed when Durtol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Auguste Lang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joris Bascou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ryan Rabineau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Bastien Douillard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varage's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durtol the free kick. After a rather tough play, Varage's Bastien Douillard got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Joris Bascou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Auclair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Rabineau having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Patrice Warin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durtol's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrice Warin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lilian Odin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc-Aurèle Touchet in the 94th minute of play forced Varage's goalkeeper Lilian Odin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Joris Bascou took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ryan Rabineau to make any attempt to save it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Varage players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Durtol.
