Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Roger Danger started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Ingersheim's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Soares came free, but Daniel Chamayou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcel Flandrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Soares in the 16th minute of play forced Ingersheim's goalkeeper Daniel Chamayou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ingersheim's zone, Allan Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Chamayou came out of the goal and Allan Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viriat's Jean-Paul Bonvalot got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marcel Flandrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Flandrin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Chamayou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jean-Paul Bonvalot's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viriat's goalkeeper Salomon Huby, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roger Danger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Salomon Huby came out and tried to block the shot, but Roger Danger slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 36th minute. Roger Dangers short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Salomon Huby to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 45th minute Allan Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Chamayou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean-Paul Bonvalot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Chamayou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Paul Bonvalot, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th match minute, Viriat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertrand Rascle to maneuver through the defense. Salomon Huby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Danger in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the Viriat defense, Roger Danger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salomon Huby. The Viriat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salomon Huby should have stopped the shot. After 81 minutes, Vivien Philip mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ingersheim and the Viriat players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Ingersheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vivien Philip to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute of the match Tanguy Jimenez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Chamayou showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Jean-Paul Bonvalot took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Daniel Chamayou to make any attempt to save it. If Roger Danger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
