Maximilien Reverdy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guipavas. Valentin Podevin took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eddy Villaret. Eddy Villaret dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 23 minutes, Franklin Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Auzielle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franklin Montes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute Valentin Podevin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Villaret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 minutes, Freddy Valot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Auzielle and the Guipavas players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddy Villaret prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maximilien Reverdy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphaël Delory, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Guipavas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Auzielle the free kick.
