Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Toufflers's Romeo Bernot started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Toufflers booed when Vayres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Paul Delacour didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfried Debaisieux hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Vayres's Steve Jobard got a free kick in the 6th minute. Benoit Loth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Bernot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Auguste Auvinet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Bernot in the 22nd minute of play forced Vayres's goalkeeper Benoit Loth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Jean-Pascal Loustalot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Romeo Bernot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toufflers's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Bernot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benoit Loth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gilbert Malard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Toufflers's Camille Duranton got control of the ball when Gilbert Malard tried to sneak it across the goal line.
The wind increased when Robin Mury made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Gilbert Malard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camille Duranton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfried Debaisieux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the game, Robin Mury cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Camille Duranton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Camille Duranton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Biard, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Toufflers's Auguste Auvinet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benoit Loth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute Romeo Bernot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benoit Loth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Romeo Bernot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 71st minute, Vayres's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Romeo Bernot fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gilbert Malard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Camille Duranton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vayres's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Romeo Bernot 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Toufflers's Camille Duranton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Malard in the 79th minute of play. Camille Duranton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Malard, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Auguste Auvinet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Mury sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romeo Bernot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Bernot in the 96th minute of play forced Vayres's goalkeeper Benoit Loth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Toufflers's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Toufflers may have spent more time on the ball, but Vayres were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
