With a little luck, Riche's Achille Cabanes got control of the ball when Camille Will tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eddy Adolphe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysse Andro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Thil getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Walter Cabannes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Thil's zone, Ulysse Andro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddy Adolphe came out of the goal and Ulysse Andro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysse Andro in the 30th minute of play forced Thil's goalkeeper Eddy Adolphe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Riche's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Guy Valadier 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Riche's Achille Cabanes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Riche from getting a goal against them. If Camille Will had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marvin Jimenez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Adolphe having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulysse Andro was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Marvin Cahu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Riche and the Thil players grew even worse after the yellow card. 52 minutes into the match, Riche's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Will came free, but Achille Cabanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Riche booed when Thil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabri Telle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Riche's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Danny Berthelot in the 57th minute. Riche's Renaud Devillers was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eddy Adolphe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 65 played minutes, Thil's Franck Passet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Achille Cabanes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Thil reached it.
