Gabriel Villeneuve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philibert Faugeron having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Mastaing's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Daviau came free, but Gaston Fruchart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antoine Valero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philibert Faugeron having to interfere. Francis Daviau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Fruchart having to interfere. Guy Corroyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Fruchart having to interfere. If Francis Daviau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Yutz booed when Mastaing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakim Bérenger didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Villeneuve in the 47th minute of play forced Yutz's goalkeeper Philibert Faugeron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Francis Daviau made the kick off in the second half. Gaston Fruchart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guy Corroyer in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Hakim Bérenger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoine Valero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philibert Faugeron having to interfere. Guy Corroyer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Gaston Fruchart made a huge save. Philibert Faugeron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Valero in the 87th minute of play. Yutz's Guy Corroyer got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Francis Daviau fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gaston Fruchart, passed just outside the right post. Gaston Fruchart came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Yutz's Guy Corroyer. But to his dismay, Guy Corroyer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.
