With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gameiro Laigneau in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruce Vache saved Montlignon from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Scouarnec in the 23rd minute of play forced Sablot's goalkeeper Madjid Crespy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorian Scouarnec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madjid Crespy having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sablot's Bruno Bouley got a free kick in the 35th minute. Montlignon's Ramzi Berenger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Madjid Crespy but with some difficulty. Simon Rival took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Madjid Crespy. Madjid Crespy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Bixente Floquet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorian Scouarnec to strike the kick off in the second half. Dorian Scouarnec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simon Rival fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madjid Crespy having to interfere. After 55 minutes, Bruno Bouley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sablot and the Montlignon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Sablot got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Bouley. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Rival in the 58th minute of play forced Sablot's goalkeeper Madjid Crespy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruce Vache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bixente Floquet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sablot's Madjid Crespy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Scouarnec in the 74th minute of play. Bixente Floquet struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Bruce Vache didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sablot. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Simon Rival managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montlignon's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Rival was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Madjid Crespy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
