In the 34th match minute, Nohanent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Marinier to maneuver through the defense. When Noel Dol, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 38 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kévin Grognet was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Noel Dol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Dol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kévin Grognet having to interfere. Olivier Baby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Kévin Grognet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benoît Caspar to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Noel Dol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martigny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Dol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martigny's Dan Fayet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benoît Caspar in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Benoît Caspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nohanent's supporters rose to their feet, but Benoît Caspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Fayet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olivier Baby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Kévin Grognet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tanguy Rosso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dan Fayet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Martigny's goal looked a bit too open when Benoît Caspar came free, but Dan Fayet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Djimmy Chevreuil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Benoît Caspar came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Nohanent fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benoît Caspar couldn't finish the play. Benoît Caspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Fayet having to interfere. Patrick Marinier kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Dan Fayet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kader Ayrault, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Martigny players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nohanent.
