Jack Pinel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noureddine Gorlier in the 3rd minute. Antony Leproust hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noureddine Gorlier got free with Jack Pinel in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacob Cazier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Falco in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute César Falco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Cazier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Douai's zone, César Falco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Cazier came out of the goal and César Falco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers César Falco in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacob Cazier saved Douai from getting behind. Jack Pinel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximilien Gustave's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Jacob Cazier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Falco in the 23rd minute of play. If César Falco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donatien Gaste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Douai's Noureddine Gorlier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jack Pinel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximilien Gustave in the 37th minute of play forced Bondues's goalkeeper Jack Pinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Bondues's protests and gave Antony Leproust a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Douai booed when Bondues was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antony Leproust didn't get a good kick on the ball.
