The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustave Lehmann helped the player get up and apologised. Gustave Lehmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Théodore Moquet having to make a save. When Jacques Pare fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joeuf's protests and gave Jacques Pare a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Jacques Pare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sofyane Cahu in the 14th minute of play forced Hem's goalkeeper Reda Chevillot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Hem's goal looked a bit too open when Sofyane Cahu came free, but Reda Chevillot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rudy Rousselet in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reda Chevillot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Pierre-Henri Benito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Théodore Moquet was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Rousselet in the 21st minute of play forced Hem's goalkeeper Reda Chevillot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Marin Civel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Rudy Rousselet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joeuf's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudy Rousselet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reda Chevillot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rudy Rousselet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reda Chevillot having to interfere. Hem's Gustave Lehmann got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Hem booed when Joeuf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mounir Massart didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 minutes Joeuf's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Martinez who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Charles-Henri Francois managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sofyane Cahu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rudy Rousselet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Reda Chevillot made a huge save. The supporters of Hem booed when Joeuf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nolan Ory didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Pierre-Henri Benito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Théodore Moquet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gustave Lehmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Rudy Rousselet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
