Franck Petitot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franck Petitot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jérémy Launois went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Esery's Grégory Léopold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Grassi in the 13th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Esery got a freekick which was hit by Antony Le Clanche. In the 17th minute, Sabri Bonzom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Ronan Carval managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronan Carval was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jérémy Launois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grégory Léopold made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Sabri Bonzom sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Grégory Léopold successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Terry Monod's late challenge caught a Bazillère's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Terry Monod helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Esery's Terry Monod got a free kick in the 27th minute. Bazillère's Jimmy Grassi got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronan Carval in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franck Petitot saved Bazillère from getting behind. If Ronan Carval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronan Carval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Ronan Carval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franck Petitot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grégory Léopold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Grassi in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jérémy Launois was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Jérémy Launois reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Franck Petitot. The goal made the score 0-2. When Jimmy Grassi came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Bazillère fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Grassi couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the match, Esery's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Grassi came free, but Grégory Léopold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jimmy Grassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 72 in the game by Ronan Carval from a close distance when the talented Franck Petitot managed to make a qualified save. Bazillère's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Jérémy Launois kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franck Petitot. That made the score 0-3 in the 73 minute of play. A collision led to Esery getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Terry Monod hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Bazillère's goal looked a bit too open when Jérémy Launois came free, but Franck Petitot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franck Petitot made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ronan Carval sent off a good shot on target. Jimmy Grassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jimmy Grassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grégory Léopold having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Ronan Carval got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jérémy Launois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Esery supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Esery would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
