Junior Franck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Junior Franck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torcy's supporters rose to their feet, but Junior Franck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Didier Tremoulet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the match, Junior Franck notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Tourcoing's Didier Tremoulet. Didier Tremoulet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
52 minutes into the match, Tourcoing's Mehdi Tailleur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Rol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Junior Franck struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Didier Tremoulet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torcy. Mehdi Tailleur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Rol having to interfere. After 70 minutes, Louis Deville mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torcy and the Tourcoing players grew even worse after the yellow card. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the game, one of Tourcoing:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 86 minutes, Torcy's Manuel Dejoie got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Didier Tremoulet. In the 91st match minute, Tourcoing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Louche to maneuver through the defense. Didier Tremoulet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Junior Franck in the 98th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Torcy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
