Boris Leprovost stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Titouan Andrieux's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Maxime Danis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Le Hénaff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Titouan Andrieux in the 18th minute of play forced Cormier's goalkeeper Boris Leprovost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Castillon booed when Cormier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludovic Leleu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddy Neyret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jordan Malaise could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Felix Le Hénaff made a huge save. Castillon's Felix Le Hénaff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Castillon from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Cormier's Maxime Danis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Le Hénaff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Maxime Danis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Elias Marcy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cormier's Maxime Danis got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Titouan Andrieux was the one to do the kick off. Felix Le Hénaff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordan Malaise in the 54th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Amine Cloix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castillon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cormier the free kick. A collision led to Castillon getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Amine Cloix hit a great ball. The supporters of Castillon booed when Cormier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Pennequin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddy Neyrets short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Boris Leprovost to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Boris Leprovost stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Titouan Andrieux's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Titouan Andrieux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Leprovost having to interfere. Elias Marcy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Boris Leprovost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Eddy Neyret had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boris Leprovost. Cormier's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eddy Neyret was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Castillon's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
