Rangueil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maraîche the free kick. In the 9th minute Herve Lienard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antony Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danny Hamard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antony Colas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herve Lienard's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Antony Colas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herve Lienard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maraîche's Antony Colas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Maraîche from getting a goal against them. Gildas Saliou kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Danny Hamard scored 1-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antony Colas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 36 minutes, Daniel Dumetz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maraîche and the Rangueil players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rangueil booed when Maraîche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Dumetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludovic Serra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antony Colas. Maraîche's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With his leg Antony Colas managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Rangueil's Danny Hamard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 42 minutes into the match, Maraîche's Vincent Veillon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salim Lorenzini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Salim Lorenzini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Veillon in the 44th minute of the match. When Herve Lienard came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Rangueil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herve Lienard couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herve Lienard to make the kick off. Danny Hamard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antony Colas having to interfere. Vincent Veillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Lorenzini having to interfere. Salim Lorenzini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Veillon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camille Houeix during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Maraîche getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Camille Houeix hit a great ball. If Carl Lescop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Salim Lorenzini managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Maraîche's Carl Lescop fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 80 minutes, Carl Lescop managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maraîche's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl Lescop was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rangueil booed when Maraîche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Lieutaud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salim Lorenzini was a little too slow when Vincent Veillon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-1. After 89 played minutes Rangueil got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Roncin. Carl Lescop came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Salim Lorenzini could save by the left post. Vincent Veillon struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Salim Lorenzini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maraîche. When the match was over Maraîche could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rangueil throughout the match.
