Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mélac's Luc Fréville started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Panny got a freekick which was hit by Dave Mouchet. In the 7th minute of the match, John-Paul Vassort got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ferdinand Yver was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Pierre-Loup Groult fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Yver having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, John-Paul Vassort managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panny's supporters rose to their feet, but John-Paul Vassort was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinand Yver breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enzo Letort fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jérémie Raux having to interfere. If Enzo Letort had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mélac fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Ferdinand Yver made an important save on a dangerous shot by John-Paul Vassort in the 32nd minute. Jérémie Raux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luc Fréville, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
51 minutes into the match, Panny's Pierre-Loup Groult sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferdinand Yver narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henri Decottignies's late challenge caught a Panny's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henri Decottignies helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Mélac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henri Decottignies to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Mélac's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre-Loup Groult came free, but Ferdinand Yver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luc Fréville fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jérémie Raux having to interfere. After 66 minutes of play, Mélac's Enzo Letort made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jérémie Raux was left in no man's land by his defense there! 72 minutes into the match, Panny's goalkeeper Jérémie Raux had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enzo Letort. After having played for 77 minutes, John-Paul Vassort managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panny's supporters crossed their fingers, but John-Paul Vassort was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 82 minutes on the clock, Flavien Mélis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 81st minute, one of Mélac:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mélac. Enzo Letort sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute, John-Paul Vassort left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panny fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Panny had won after a very even match.
