Mathis Guilloton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Erwin Williams cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Yazid Mora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Dimitri Audic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erwin Williams blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yazid Mora having to make a save. Charly Havard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathis Guilloton having to interfere. Fabien Chapalain charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthieu Walker was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Hornaing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thibault Durieu to maneuver through the defense. Yazid Mora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthieu Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 56 played minutes Bourdonnière got a freekick which was hit by Rudy Piret. After a defensive mix-up in Hornaing's zone, Erwin Williams stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yazid Mora came out of the goal and Erwin Williams tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yazid Mora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthieu Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Jason Bétremieux fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hornaing's protests and gave Jason Bétremieux a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hornaing's Jason Bétremieux got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Matthieu Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yazid Mora having to interfere. The supporters of Bourdonnière booed when Hornaing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. John-Paul Judas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Matthieu Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John-Paul Judas's late challenge caught a Bourdonnière's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John-Paul Judas helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes Hornaing got a freekick which was hit by John-Paul Judas. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
