Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Faouzi Mahu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alain Rattier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faouzi Mahu, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th match minute, Monthoux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honoré Thomasson to maneuver through the defense. Alain Rattier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faouzi Mahu's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. When Jean-Christophe Leclère came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Vallières fans jumped to their feet. With an all-out effort, Vallières's Alain Rattier threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Faouzi Mahu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Monthoux's Noureddine Milot pulled a muscle in his back after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 24th minute, Nicolas Le Strat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute of the match Jason Gabet shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgard Pinaud showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Monthoux booed when Vallières was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Le Strat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean-Christophe Leclère could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Alain Rattier made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When Valentin Braun came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Monthoux fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Braun couldn't finish the play.
