The audience was convinced that Hamza Pepe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maxence Defontaine was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Kientzheim's Mohamed Dupraz got a free kick in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Grabels's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Amri came free, but Maxence Defontaine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Soudan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johan Menez during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 22 minutes into the game, one of Grabels:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Malcom Monier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Soudan in the 28th minute. Maxence Defontaine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamza Pepe, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Maxence Defontaine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hamza Pepe's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Francis Bermond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcom Monier having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Grabels got a freekick which was hit by Honore Masson. After a defensive mix-up in Kientzheim's zone, Luc Poirrier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malcom Monier came out of the goal and Luc Poirrier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Kientzheim:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grabels:s goal. Kientzheim:s Malcom Monier showed great skill when he stopped Rodolphe Carre:s penalty. Malcom Monier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolphe Carre went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hamza Pepe made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Charles Pinson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kientzheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Pinson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxence Defontaine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charles Pinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxence Defontaine having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Grabels's goal looked a bit too open when Hamza Pepe came free, but Maxence Defontaine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faudel Caudron during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Grabels getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Faudel Caudron hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Honore Masson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francis Bermond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamza Pepe in the 81st minute of play forced Grabels's goalkeeper Maxence Defontaine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malcom Monier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Soudan, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Hamza Pepe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maxence Defontaine. Hamza Pepe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Francis Bermond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Malcom Monier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Soudan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Malcom Monier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Samuel Soudan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
