Pontchartrain's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zinedine Delatre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17th minute Zinedine Delatre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Combier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Combier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zinedine Delatre went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Pontchartrain booed when Douard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claude Alibert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Billy Landelle in the 23rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Claude Alibert charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claude Alibert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Douard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claude Alibert to maneuver through the defense. Franz Boissy's late challenge caught a Pontchartrain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franz Boissy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, Douard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franz Boissy to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Zinedine Delatre sped through Pontchartrain's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roger Combier. After a rather tough play, Douard's Zinedine Delatre got a free kick in the 38th minute. Billy Landelle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 48th minute Franz Boissy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Combier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
After 53 minutes, Vivien Georgeon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pontchartrain and the Douard players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roger Combier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brice Rigot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Pontchartrain's goal looked a bit too open when Brice Rigot came free, but Roger Combier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Douard's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Landelle came free, but Morgan Cerqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 62 minutes, Billy Landelle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontchartrain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Billy Landelle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zinedine Delatre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Roger Combier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pontchartrain booed when Douard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Guichet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Vignal missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 71 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Morgan Cerqueira right hand side. Brice Rigot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes Douard got a freekick which was hit by Louis Audoin. Billy Landelle kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Pontchartrain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentin Bonnal to maneuver through the defense. Pontchartrain's Francis Hamel suffered a sprained foot after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Zinedine Delatre was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. Zinedine Delatre kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Brice Rigot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pontchartrain's zone, Brice Rigot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Combier came out of the goal and Brice Rigot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claude Alibert struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Roger Combier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douard. The Douard players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
