The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Famars getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Édouard Callens hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the match, Famars's goal looked a bit too open when Jacques Burckel came free, but Harold Lesaulnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Jacques Burckel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harold Lesaulnier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gerard Prost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacques Burckel struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Harold Lesaulnier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Noves. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannick Marescaux in the 19th minute of play forced Noves's goalkeeper Joris Grolier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Famars's Hugo Bourgine got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 25 minutes, Yannick Marescaux made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Noves's Joris Grolier tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute Joachim Courtade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Grolier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Prost received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Harold Lesaulnier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Famars's Erwann Louis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Harold Lesaulnier made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Gerard Prost sent off a good shot on target. Joris Grolier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Courtade, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Famars were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joachim Courtade to strike the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Famars's goal looked a bit too open when Jacques Burckel came free, but Harold Lesaulnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Jacques Burckel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Famars's Harold Lesaulnier. Harold Lesaulnier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st minute, Gerard Prost got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jacques Burckel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Joachim Courtade fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Harold Lesaulnier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacques Burckel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Bourgine during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Noves booed when Famars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Bourgine didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Joachim Courtade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Famars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Famars's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
