Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Steve Bayard made the kick off which started today's match. Diego Tournay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Salingue having to interfere. Diego Tournay who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Paulo Salingue when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 11th minute, Steve Bayard fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rudy Labarrere hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Diego Tournay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Salingue having to interfere. Paulo Salingue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Bayard, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 22 minutes, Amaury Gamblin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fabron and the Mennecy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Brice Mars's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jérôme Delalande was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Fabien Ryckewaert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jérôme Delalande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. If Brice Mars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes Fabron got a freekick which was hit by Grégory Degrave. Mennecy's Ahmid Caubet couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fabron. Fabien Ryckewaert took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jérôme Delalande. Jérôme Delalande dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Mennecy getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Rudy Labarrere hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Fabron's Hubert Absalon tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brice Mars to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Steve Bayard made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Salingue. Mennecy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 59 minutes into the game, Mennecy's David Tailliez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jérôme Delalande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jérôme Delalande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brice Mars, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Fabron's goalkeeper Jérôme Delalande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabien Ryckewaert. The supporters of Mennecy booed when Fabron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amaury Gamblin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Steve Bayard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Salingue was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 79 minutes into the game, Brice Mars lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Jérôme Delalande. Mennecy's Paulo Salingue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Bayard in the 83rd minute of play. Brice Mars struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Jérôme Delalande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mennecy. When Fabien Ryckewaert came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Mennecy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabien Ryckewaert couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Fabron's zone, Brice Mars stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jérôme Delalande came out of the goal and Brice Mars tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 played minutes, Fabron's Hubert Absalon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Salingue came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fabron reached it. Diego Tournay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Fabron supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mennecy's performance. The match ended with a win for Mennecy.
