Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arnold Bernigaud got the match started through his kick off. Verlinghem's Arnold Bernigaud got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Djibril Guiton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brice Mars, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Djibril Guiton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brice Mars in the 16th minute of play. When Firmin Guigon fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verlinghem's protests and gave Firmin Guigon a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Verlinghem got a freekick which was hit by Firmin Guigon. 18 minutes into the match, Verlinghem's goal looked a bit too open when Fabien Ryckewaert came free, but Djibril Guiton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Fabien Ryckewaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Djibril Guiton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnold Bernigaud struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Paulo Salingue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verlinghem. If Axel Ravier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Axel Ravier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Salingue having to interfere. Djibril Guiton came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mennecy's Brice Mars. But to his dismay, Brice Mars quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Brice Mars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brice Mars was the one to do the kick off. If Firmin Guigon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 59 minutes, Brice Mars managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mennecy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brice Mars was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cheikh Navet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulo Salingue. Mennecy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Brice Mars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brice Mars recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabien Ryckewaert took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Djibril Guiton. Djibril Guiton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Brice Mars fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djibril Guiton having to interfere. Axel Ravier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Paulo Salingue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Verlinghem booed when Mennecy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Brenon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Salingue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Bernigaud in the 83rd minute of the match. Djibril Guiton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brice Mars, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Djibril Guiton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brice Mars in the 92nd minute of play. The Mennecy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mennecy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
